Scituate Youth Soccer Association (SYSA) is committed to provide the youth of our community with the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of soccer while developing their physical, social and emotional well being.
The Scituate Youth Soccer Association is a private non-profit organization. SYSA is a member of Soccer Rhode Island. SRI is in Region 1 of the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA). The United States Soccer Federation (USSF) governs our referees.
SYSA is committed to provide the youth of our community with the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of soccer while developing their physical, social and emotional well being.
SYSA provides a Fall Soccer Program for the children of, but not limited to, Scituate and Foster.
SYSA also provides a Spring Competitive Program for those children that participate in the Fall Soccer Program. Sometimes it is necessary to bring in additional children from other towns in the formation of our Spring Competitive Teams. Children that are U8 and U10 must have participated in the Fall Soccer Program in order to be considered eligible for the Spring Competitive Program. Competitive Teams may then participate in SRI and/or USYSA sanctioned leagues and tournaments.
SYSA does not provide an Indoor Soccer Program. SYSA, like SRI, does not sanction any Indoor Soccer Facility. With that said, any person may form a team and enter a league at any of the local facilities on their own although it is customary to ask a player’s coach if they intend to form a team prior to asking the player as some Spring Competitive Coaches may choose to use Indoor Soccer as part of their training for Spring Competitive.
