Q: Can I register in-person?
A: Yes, in-person registration will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 5:30 - 7:30 & Saturday, June 9, 10:00 - 12:00 at Tasca Field.
Q: At what age can my child play soccer?
A: The program is open to children born from 1/1/04 thru 12/31/2014.
Q: When does the fall soccer season begin?
A: The season begins with the Kick Off on August 25, rain or shine. Info will be mailed to registered players in August.
Q: Where do teams play and practice?
A: All practices and games are at Tasca Field, Route 6, North Scituate.
Q: When will my child hear from a coach?
A: Registered players will receive Kick Off info in August. Coaches will receive final rosters and teams will meet for the first time at the Kick Off, August 25.
Q: Can I request a coach, friends, etc?
A: Due to the number of requests received, it is not possible to accommodate all requests. Only requests due to serious concerns will be considered and must be received by July 15.
Q: Can I request a practice day/time?
A: Practice days and times are chosen by the coach at the Kick Off based on his/her schedule and field availability. Therefore, we cannot accommodate practice preferences when assigning players to teams. Note: U6 teams (4 & 5 yr. olds) do not practice during the week.
Q: What days are games played on? How will I know the schedule?
A: All games are played on Saturdays. Players will receive a detailed game schedule and practice info from their coach at the Kick Off.
Q: Are games played during inclement weather?
A: Games are played in rainy weather. In the event games must be canceled due to weather or field conditions, an announcement will be posted to the website as early as possible.
Q: What equipment is provided?
A: Each player receives a t-shirt and socks. U6 players will also receive an age appropriate soccer ball.
Q: What do I need to provide?
A: All players need shin guards. U6 players may wear sneakers. All others need soccer cleats and a ball.
Q: What size soccer ball does my child need?
A: U8's use a size 3, U10 & U12 use a size 4, U14 and up use a size 5.
Q: Can anyone coach a team?
A: We appreciate our many volunteers and always need more coaches. You don't need to know a lot about soccer. Coach training is available. The registration link is on the home page. All volunteers must pass a background check and provide a photo for an i.d. before taking the field. With close to 50 teams each fall many volunteers are need to make this program a success.
