SYSA Board


The SYSA Board serves as the operational and policy-making body for the soccer association and is its main governing body. The Board consists of thirteen elected members who volunteer their time and energy to carry out the goals of SYSA.

The officers of the association are elected for a one-year term commencing January 1st and terminating December 31st of the same year:

  • President
  • Vice-President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer  

The Board also consists of the following members, also elected for a one-year term, each of whom is responsible for a specific aspect of the association:

  • Fall Soccer Coordinator
  • Competitive Coordinator
  • Coach Coordinator
  • Rules, Regulations and Referees Coordinator
  • Uniforms and Equipment Coordinator
  • Fields Coordinator
  • Fundraising and Sponsors
  • Publicity and Public Relations and the Registrar

Each Board Member has one vote at Board Meetings and General Membership Meetings.
